Student Scholarships

MII is excited to announce it has partnered with Iowa State University to offer its first ever structural masonry course: CE 4360X Masonry Design

About the course: The Masonry Society design methods for structural masonry members. Masonry materials. Behavior of masonry structures. Analysis and design of beams for flexure and shear. Analysis and design of columns/pilasters, walls, and diaphragms. PREREQS: CE 3340

MII is offering three scholarships to ISU undergrad students to cover tuition for this three credit course. MII will need to verify enrollment in the course prior to scholarship payments. To do that, MII will pay ISU fees directly, over the course of its summer payment plan and incur that fee. Undergraduate cost for CE 4360X: $1962.75 (plus $20 for the payment plan)
Each scholarship will pay the following amounts on the dates listed: 
                    May 20: $694.25
                    June 20: $674.25
                    July 20: $674.25

This scholarship is open to:

- undergraduate students enrolled at Iowa State University
- hometown must be from Iowa
- major must be in an engineering program that relates to the construction industry
- be enrolled in the CE 4360X Masonry Design course for the summer of 2026

Applications are due April 27 and recipients will be notified the following week if he/she received a scholarship. As part of the application process,verification of enrollment in the course must be made prior to each payment.

The Foundation is pleased to announce it had 38 applications and where able to award 10 students with scholarships this year! HS seniors received $500; those attending a community college received $750 and those attending a 4 year community college received $1000.

2017 marks the 12th year we have given scholarships and are pleased to announce we awarded three scholarships this year.
