About the Foundation
The Iowa Masonry Education Foundation is a 503(c) nonprofit with the mission to raise money for school scholarships and initiatives.
Each year the Foundation awards scholarships to incoming and current college students enrolled at community colleges, colleges and universities around the state who are enrolled architectural, engineering or construction majors. The Foundation also awards the Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers (BAC) Local 3 Iowa pre-job (pre-apprentice) scholarships to students training to become bricklayers. To learn more about these scholarships, please visit https://masonryinstituteofiowa.wildapricot.org/sys/website/?pageId=18084.
The Foundation supports a variety of student initiatives including transportation for the annual ISU Student Field Day in Masonry, masonry training in the prison system, train the trainer course for HS industrial tech teachers to learn how to implement a masonry unit in the classroom, masonry demos at the community college and high school level, marketing efforts for workforce development and more!
The only fundraiser for the Foundation is its annual golf outing - we cannot thank the industry enough for its support of this annual event.
The MII Foundation board includes: Matt Banse, Andy Ward, Alan Boddicker, Ron Hopkins and Jenny Irlmeier.
